October 8- collective impressions
Everyone at one table making a single painting together. Each person adds to the design and builds off the marks that came before, moving around the table as it grows. Someone's shape becomes someone else's starting point, and by the end it's a piece none of us could have made alone.
Then we cut it apart, and everyone takes home a section of the whole.
sept 10 - collective impressions
This session, we make one piece of art together. Instead of everyone working on their own, the whole group works on a single shared surface, drawing, painting, and layering, moving around the table so everyone's marks end up in everyone's work. At the end, we cut it apart, and each of us goes home with a section of the whole.
Aug 13 - Abstract Landscapes
This session of abstract landscapes, we'll start with ink sketches in a journal you'll take home, move into small color studies on paper, and finish by painting an abstract landscape on a 5"x5" canvas. All experience levels welcome, and there's no wrong way to do it. You'll leave with a finished piece and, hopefully, a few new faces you're glad to know.
